Santiago de Cuba Carnival 2026

The Santiago de Cuba Carnival is widely considered Cuba's most authentic and exciting carnival. Taking place each July, it dates back to the 18th century and features dozens of comparsas (dance groups) competing through the streets with massive conga drums, elaborate floats, and spectacular costumes. The energy in Santiago during carnival week is unlike anything in the Caribbean — raw, passionate, and deeply African in its roots.
