Rabin Ajau 2026

Rabin Ajau is Guatemala's most important Maya cultural event, held each August during the Cobán Fair. Young women from Maya communities across the country compete — not based on Western beauty standards, but on their knowledge of Maya culture, language, traditional weaving, and community values. The event is a powerful celebration of indigenous pride and is one of the most culturally significant festivals in Central America.
