Limón Carnival 2026

Limón Carnival (Carnaval de Limón) celebrates Costa Rica's Afro-Caribbean heritage every October 12 (Columbus Day / Día de la Raza). The Caribbean port city of Limón comes alive with spectacular parade floats, calypso and reggae music, traditional dance, Afro-Caribbean food, and a vibrant street party that reflects the unique cultural blend of this coastal community. It is the most distinctly Caribbean experience in mainland Central America.
