La Marguerite Flower Festival

Saint Lucia's second historic flower society, La Marguerite (La Magéwit), observes the feast of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque on October 17 with members dressed in purple staging community parades featuring marguerite-flower displays, a folk tradition dating back over 250 years.
