Jamaica Grand Market (Gran' Market) — Christmas Eve

Grand Market is a Christmas Eve tradition across Jamaica's towns and cities, blending shopping and street festival into an all-night celebration. Families come out in new clothes to shop for last-minute Christmas foods, sweets and toys during the day, then stay through the evening for street food, music and community celebration that runs until morning. Its roots trace back to colonial-era markets where enslaved people were permitted to sell surplus produce.
