The Hay Festival Cartagena is the leading literary and ideas festival in Latin America, held each January in the UNESCO World Heritage walled city of Cartagena de Indias. The festival brings together Nobel Prize winners, Booker Prize authors, global thinkers, journalists, filmmakers, scientists, and cultural figures for four days of talks, debates, readings, and performances. Previous guests have included Gabriel García Márquez, Salman Rushdie, and Christiane Amanpour.
