Fiestas Patrias (Dieciocho) - Gran Fonda de Chile

Chile's national independence holiday, known as 'el Dieciocho,' is celebrated countrywide with fondas and ramadas serving empanadas, anticuchos and terremotos alongside live cueca dancing. The Gran Fonda de Chile at Parque O'Higgins is one of Santiago's largest, running for four days around the September 18 holiday with live music and traditional food.
