Fiestas de Zapote 2026

The Fiestas de Zapote are held in the San José suburb of Zapote every year from December 25 through January 6. The fairgrounds host Tico-style bullfighting (where crowds of young men dodge the bull), live concerts by top Latin artists, carnival rides, traditional food stalls with chicharrones and tamales, and the lively atmosphere of Costa Ricans celebrating the holiday season. It is one of the most authentic and beloved expressions of Tico popular culture.
