Fiesta de San Juan (Iquitos)

The Peruvian Amazon's most important festival honors St. John the Baptist with music, dance, processions and family gatherings in Iquitos, Tarapoto, Pucallpa and other jungle cities. The signature dish, juane (rice and chicken wrapped in bijao leaves), is prepared throughout the celebration.
