The Cervantino is Mexico's most prestigious performing-arts festival, transforming the colonial city of Guanajuato into a stage for music, theater, dance, opera, film, and visual arts. The 2026 edition is the 54th, featuring around 212 performances with roughly 2,700 artists from 29 countries, with France as the guest of honor nation. Venues include the Teatro Juárez, Teatro Cervantes, and the Alhóndiga de Granaditas esplanade, with simultaneous programming in Mexico City.
