Festival de la Mejorana 2026

The Festival Nacional de la Mejorana in Guararé, Los Santos province, is Panama's most important folk and cultural festival. Held each September, it celebrates the mejorana — Panama's traditional guitar — and the nation's folk heritage through dance, music, poetry, and the spectacular display of the pollera (Panama's national dress). The festival is a living preservation of Panamanian traditions including traditional dances like the tamborito, cumbia, and punto.
