Festival de la Marinera Norteña 2027

The Festival Nacional de la Marinera in Trujillo is the world's most important celebration of the marinera — Peru's national dance. Held each January, the festival draws couples from across Peru and internationally to compete in the categories of children, youth, and adult marinera norteña. The dance is a courtship ritual of extraordinary elegance — the woman waves her white handkerchief while the man pursues her in a precise, passionate choreography.
